Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

1. Overview

Secret is designed to keep your passwords and private information under your control. The developer of Secret does not collect, track, sell, or share the information you store in the app.

2. Data storage

Your Secret data is stored locally on your device. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is also stored in your private iCloud account and synchronized through Apple’s CloudKit service. The developer does not operate a separate vault-sync server and cannot access the private records in your iCloud account.

3. No tracking, analytics, or advertising

Secret does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking tools. The app does not build a profile of how you use your vault.

4. Security

Secret relies on Apple’s platform security and device protections for locally stored data. Access to the app can be protected with your Master PIN. If you create a password-protected manual backup, its contents are encrypted before the backup file is written.

5. Optional iCloud sync

iCloud sync is optional. When enabled, syncing is handled by Apple and is subject to Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy practices. You can continue to use Secret locally without enabling iCloud sync.

6. Imports and exports

Files you choose to import are read so Secret can add supported records to your vault. Export and backup files remain under your control. Some source export formats may contain readable passwords, so you should store or delete those files carefully after use.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Secret evolves. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised date.
